a friend wrote this, in a bulletin..
"You should do some research.
It's amazing how so many people celebrate things without knowing what they really are. I celebrate Christmas, because my family does. I don't assosiate it with with God, and I've never given the Sun god Saturn a wreath or bits of Holly. I'm nothing I have no religion. I am grateful for what I have and amazed at what the world is and how it works. How everything fits together so beautifully and easily.
But I have read the bible and I've read tons and tons of other things and here is what I've found out:
Christmas was celebrated before the birth of christ. The date of December 25th comes from Rome and was a celebration of the Italic god and the rebirth of the sun god. They believed that the sungod died on the 22nd and was reborn on the 25th. They started gift giving out of celebration and they gave wreaths to the sun god as thanks. The Christmas tree is a symbol of thanks to the Yule god, the Germans believed that. In many other cultures pageans even sacrificed humans and animals on Christmas to the god Saturn "the sun god".
Christians took the pagean holiday Christmas is Christ and Mass. Mass is Roman for death.
Jesus was born sometime in late september, it is not the birth of Jesus. No where in the bible does it say anything about Christmas, anything at all. In fact the bible says that you should only do as the commandments say and that keeping your own traditions in the name of Christ is a sin. Saying Christmas is a Christian holiday and that it's honoring God is a lie. There is nothing Christian about Christmas
The bible even says the time he was born was the first day of the new rain. And conceivedwhich would have to be late september or early october, and that the flocks of sheep had not been brought home, which means it could be no later than september.
Even Santa has a pagean origin. The name Santa is what people called Nimrod. In the bible Nimrod was someone who promoted human sacrifice to himself, and tried to replace God with himself. In revelations it talks about God hating "the followers of Nicholas."
Calling Christmas Christian is sycretism, and in the time of Christ you would be put to death.
I wrote that to a friend, in response to an entry she wrote about how people who don't believe in God shouldn't celebrate Christmas, when in fact she and 80% of the population are doing exactly what they shouldnt be doing. It's hard to believe that so many people can sit and celebrate a holiday that they know nothing about, or believe the origin is completely the opposite of what it truely is. So many Christians believe in God and "the bible" when they have never read it enough to understand it.. or even tried to understand it. It's sad...
Christians and commericalism is what keeps Christmas going
and for all the wrong reasons"
i checked all of this stuff out, and, it is all true.
if the 'biggest' holiday to christians, and catholics, is infact a sham, then what about other stuff?
i mean the things that don't make sense, why be blind, when you can see EVERYTHING?
i do not know, really anything except you should read this. |
